The ELI premises have been designed to provide a modern, comfortable environment conducive to effective and innovative teaching and learning. The ELI facilities include:

25 classrooms

Fully equipped with audio-visual equipment including television, DVD and CD player, each classroom provides a flexible, interactive, learning space that allows for different teaching styles. Regular classrooms have a capacity for 18 students, while larger rooms are available for seminars, guest presentations, class performances and special events.

3 multimedia laboratories

State-of-the-art computer labs offer students easy access to e-learning programs and a multitude of on-line databases and resources.

IELTS Study Skills Success

is for all students in upper secondary / high school and in higher education who wish to improve their academic study skills. The program also helps students prepare for IELTS and TOEFL and "sits comfortably within the remit of GCSE" (Schoolzone).

Resource Centre

The centre provides a wide range of English language resources, including several thousand books, magazines, newspapers and DVDs. The collection is continuously expanding.

Independent Study Centre

Within the Resource Centre there is an area dedicated to independent or small group study.

University of Queensland Information Centre

The information centre provides visitors and students access to computers linked to the University of Queensland website and to information regarding study opportunities and life in Brisbane, Australia, home to The University of Queensland.
