EFIC (English for International Communication) programs activate your English in the four language skills of Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. The programs focus on activating your vocabulary and developing your pronunciation in English so that you can communicate with people easily. You will have chance to apply your grammar and practice language functions, practice everyday English, communicate about families, sport, work and education, use the latest textbooks, practice in the multimedia labs and study in the Resource Centre.
Program Levels and Duration

Placement Tests
Placement Testing at ELI is required of all applicants to programs to determine appropriate course entry.
Placement Tests are held at the ELI all working day from Monday to Friday at the following times:
• In the morning: 9.00am – 11.00am
• In the afternoon: 2.00pm – 5.30pm
Assessment
Students will be continuously assessed throughout the course when doing role-plays, pairwork, groupwork and homework assignments. In this manner, feedback is immediate to personnel as they practice applying ways in which they can enhance their English language skills. End of Course Assessment is required to be fulfilled by all students.
Certification
Certificates of Completion are awarded to students who successfully pass the End of Course Assessment and attend at least 80% of the course.
